Financial Planning

Laying the groundwork for optimal future business development

An integrated financial plan is important to steer the business by setting financial goals and modelling the path to achieve them. Whether comparing actual financial data with the initial planning to identify progress or shortcomings or defining the business’s valuation: A sound, integrated financial planning improves and simplifies both processes.

We provide integrated financial models, that are tailored to each companies needs.

The integrated structure of  the models allows for an easy adaptation to unpredictable business development. Based on the financial plan, a controlling model can be created to evaluate the business success and deviations from the plan as a foundation to steer the company.

What you get

Process steps

  • 1

Conceptual design and analyses of model requirements

We kick-off the financial planning process by analyzing the requirements of the financial model, based on the company's business model, previous financial models and future business plans. Together, we design the underlying concept of the model and define the necessary outputs, required to reflect the financial development of the company.

  • 2

Creation of first draft of the financial planning model

Based on the conceptual design and model requirements, we create an integrated financial model. To allow for the integrated structure and potential use as a controlling model, we base the model on an underlying account mapping and use a flexible input of assumptions.

  • 3

Fine-tuning with multiple iterations of input, feedback and improvements

After the first draft is presented to the portfolio company, we improve the financial planning iteratively over multiple feedback and input loops. We implement requested changes and plug in relevant assumptions regarding the expected future development of the business.

  • 4

Handover of the final financial planning model

At the end of the process, we hand over the finalized financial planning model to the management. The entire model, its structure and calculations are explained in detail, so that the company can implement changes in the model independently.
